This tub spout diverter came with my Kohler Forte shower and tub trim kit. I had my plumber come back and check its operation because it leaked like a sieve when used to divert water to the shower and it diverted water back into the wall every few seconds. It was correctly installed, this is just how it "works." I sent a video of its operation to the plumbing supply company showing its operation. They replied "stop using it" and sent me a Delta replacement. The Delta was installed by the same plumber and it works beautifully. It is a much better design. I've since had two plumbers from two plumbing companies tell me they never install Kohler diverters because of their inferior design.
