"The Delta Orleans Kitchen Faucet - High Quality and Attractive Unit"2008-09-06 By Mark (East Coast)
The Delta Orleans Double-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Spray, Stainless #2457-SS is the brushed stainless steel faucet which also comes in a Delta Orleans Double-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Spray, Chrome #2457 model. They are identical other than the surface and the price. Both of them are solid brass underneath the chromed surface.
Anybody that's ever installed a standard 3 or 4 hole sink faucet knows how much of a chore it can be. The unit was a pleasure to install and the result was very attractive and functional. Most standard faucets give you very little clearance for large pots and pans, especially if you have a small kitchen sink. This set gives you a tall curved handle faucet that allows for plenty of extra clearance.
Pros + Beautiful finish is very attractive + Nice tall faucet gives you great clearance for cleaning larger pots + Orleans style has nice curved lines that go well in both traditional and contemporary kitchens + The faucet aerator gives a nice flow on both the faucet and the spray nozzle + The base is nicely constructed and sits well with plumber's putty + Comes in chrome or stainless steel finishes + Installation was well designed with quality fittings underneath + Price is acceptable for a good brand
Cons - The faucet can turn completely and seems somewhat soft, so be careful not to push it laterally - The spray nozzle head feels light in comparison to the faucet - Because it's taller than other faucets, you must be careful around window installations
This faucet is much taller than most and because it has a spray hose will require a four hole sink. Make sure your sink can accommodate this.
The price is clearly not the lowest out there, but considering the quality construction of this unit I am pleased. I am confused as to why the brushed model is so much higher than the chrome model. If you are flexible regarding style, just check them both and choose the one going for less. Price Pfister makes a similar model, but I like Delta quality and not having to worry about having to reinstall this any time soon.
Enjoy.

"A real Splasher"2010-03-24 By larryhat (Texas) As the other reviewer commented, this faucet can and will make a watery mess of your sink area. Because it's so high, even using the sprayer is clumsy. Other than that, it really does look nice and has a cutting edge appearance, but functionally, I really don't care for it at all.
"Why was I asked to review this product/ I never purchased it???"2010-03-11 By Anthony Bottone What is going on with Amazon. They let people write reviews on items that they never purchased???
"fine faucet...no probs"2010-03-11 By polo (sandiego) i have no idea why faucets are so expensive....? a very good price for this faucet on amazon, maybe since it is so tall...this is a tall faucet, which at the moment is fashionable when you look around. i have a pretty large, deep high end type kitchen sink so no splashing. i think it may not work as well for regular sized sinks. good construction & no probs w/ pull out retraction, the spring is a higher end type image thing.
"Great Kitchen Faucet! ! ! !"2010-02-07 By Michael D. Moses (Chatfield, MN USA) We have gone through quite a few faucets in our quest to find one that would meet our needs and with this one, I believe we finally found it. My wife and I live in the country and run a farmer's market where we can many items and have been frustrated in the past with faucets that were too short, or not manuverable, or would not rotate from side to side, etc. We looked at several on Amazon and also at the local plumbing stores and chain stores, just not able to find the right one for our needs. Finally, this one from Danze came up on Amazon and I did some research on it. One of the areas I concentrate on are the reviews of those who have purchased items in the past and read of their experiences concerning what is being researched. I read all the reviews on this one, including the negative experiences and were aware of the one comment that it sprayed all over and served better as a shower than a kitchen faucet. We ordered this anyhow and I was impressed with this product from installation to the present.
We have owned and used this one for about three months and it has fulfilled our expectations in all respects. The installation was fast and easy. The directions were simple yet straightforward and easy to follow. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the old faucet and only about 8 minutes to install this new one. What I was first struck with as far as using it was concerned was the spring on the hose for faucet handle retraction instead of the weighted hose used commonly for other brands. This spring eliminates the weight and the hose from getting caught on obstructions under the sink and not retracting the handle. The spring is so much easier and does not get caught on anything underneath. That feature is great. Also, because of the construction of our sink, we are unable to have a plate so the faucet assembly has to sit right on the sink itself. This has posed a problem in the past because the faucet has gradually come loose from the sink and be continually retightened. The Danze faucet has a ring on the bottom that remains stationary and the rest of the faucet turns instead. That was another plus. Halfway up the faucet, there is a section that turns as well, so you could have the handle part remain stationary while turning the rest of the faucet. The actual faucet handle comes loose and has excellent range of motion for most applications. The handle quickly and easily retracts into the main housing when you are done with it. There are two main sprays, one a solid stream and the other a multi-spray. There is a third but you have to balance the easy-to-reach toggle switch on the top of the faucet to get it. That spray contains both a small solid stream and a multi-spray. The handle itself is very convenient and adjust. It requires a little getting used to, because other faucets have their handles on the top of the faucet and not in the front. However, after you initial training phase on learning this newer approach, it actually is more convenient.
The faucet is higher than other ones we looked at but this is what we wanted, due to our canning with large pots, etc. It actually is easier to use than the lower faucets because you can get colanders of vegetables and fruits underneath easier and wash these products. We also make homemade wines and this faucet is just right for getting the larger 3,5,6 and 7 gallon car-boys underneath for cleaning. I can see why the one review listed splashing as an issue because when you are using this faucet, because of its height, you are going to experience some splashing. However, we have deep sinks and the spray from the faucet goes right into the drain so this issue is minimal for us.
All in all, I have no complaints about this faucet and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. A great product ! ! ! !
"Danze Anu a wonderful faucet by a company that backs its product"2009-12-22 By L. Dils (Michigan) I bought the Danze Anu kitchen faucet a bit over 2 years ago. I love the great contemporary style, the high profile which makes for easy washing (along with my deep sink) and the great pull out spray head. Recently had a mystery leak inside the cabinet under the sink and couldn't figure out where the problem was coming from. Once we discovered it was a pipe that runs up into the head of the faucet I phoned Danze technical support and they were so easy to deal with, professional and prompt in their response. I received a brand new faucet within one weeks time. Their lifetime warranty and responsive customer service is a breath of fresh air; great to find a manufacturer that stands behind their product fully! Would highly recommend this faucet and this company's products!

"BEWARE Problem with installation instructions in box"2010-04-30 By orange fish (chicago) We recently purchased this faucet from amazon and installed it yesterday based on the instructions that came in the box. It turns out that the instructions were not the correct ones for this product even though they have the correct model on them. We are going to have to take the whole thing out because the direction for putting in the drain lift rod was not included. This is a very nice faucet but if you buy this model make sure you download the instructions directly from kohler.
"Perfect Faucets for Our Bathrooms!"2009-06-09 By Arci (California) I must have looked at over 20 or more faucets in stores and online for two bathrooms that were being remodeled. Pricing, styling and delivery were issues but Kohler's K-10577-4 Bancrofts, that we ordered through Amazon, were the perfect match for us. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. We had an issue with toolmarks on one set but I contacted Amazon who quickly turned it around & reordered another set and I returned the slightly damaged set back to the seller, without missing a beat. I love how Amazon strives to make every purchase an effortless one. I am one very satisfied customer!

"Very nice faucet"2010-04-05 By Shoji Kumagai (Cupertino, CA USA) I recently remodeled one of my bathrooms and decided to replace the faucet and fixtures with the ones with vibrant brushed bronze from Kohler. As you can see in the sample picture, the faucet looks rather simple. However, its color and appearance definitely added some nice touch to our new bathroom. One downside is its rather high price, but I wouldn't be replacing this one for a long time.
"Kohler has it all"2007-11-24 By book buyer (Springfield, Missouri USA) great product--added 2nd bathroom on my Mom's 106 year old house. The Kohler Forte line is very beautiful, practical and goes with any decore.
"Forte is a great product from Kohler"2007-06-10 By Cathy Kominsky (Riverwoods, IL USA) Nice finish, functions well, looks beautiful in the bathroom.
"Classy Look"2007-04-29 By kenz I put this faucet in both of my bathrooms after having the same ones for almost 20 years. They made a world of improvement and look absolutely classy in the bathroom. The only complaint is that it is hard to keep water marks of of them.
